Well spring finally came to a close and summer vacation has just started. I’m spending the summer working at Kayak Pittsburgh under the 6th Street bridge. I’m living with my cousin Jeff, his wife Erin, and his two kids Maddy and Norman. It’s wonderful to slow down for a little bit and be with family.

Well for those of you who didn’t know, about six weeks ago I completely shattered my collar bone. I had to put the camera down up until recently. I’m making it a point to finish the story I started on Mr. Weinfurtner – the eclectic shop teacher at Athens High. Yesterday I had the opportunity to visit his home where he refines sap into maple syrup. I’ll have more on this soon.

I’m finally back in Athens. Life’s moving at a snail’s pace and I need a fast forward button right about now. I’m trying to stay on top of things so I went out and got a head start on my photo story. Here’s a shop teacher named Mr. Weinfurtner. I’ll have a better edit of this in the next week or so.

Atlanta

I spent the last few days in Atlanta for a photojournalism seminar. It was a lot of hanging out with friends and making some new ones. I would write more but the drive was a killer and I just need some R and R.
